Under the unfortunate circumstances when a complaint letter is circulated to your CPA Practice, EQC can help to provide mitigation services by negotiation and arbitration with the regulators and help to strive for lower sanctions and financial penalties, and to avoid suspension of your practising certificate. In the event when the disciplinary panel concludes that the existence of professional misconduct and professional negligence and suspension of practice is deemed necessary, EQC can help our clients to provide evidence of mitigating factors and to liaise with our client’s external legal counsel, aimed at shortening suspension periods.
Over the last 2 years, we have worked on engagements exclusively, with RPC, an international law firm with years of experience in litigations, arbitration and regulatory investigations, in successfully mitigating financial sanctions and reducing disciplinary suspension periods from up to 2 years to 4 months.
