EQC Compliance Advisory (EQC) specializes in consulting CPA practices and financial institutions on AFRC inspections, investigations, complaints, and regulatory matters. Our services include inspection consulting, online and in-person training, monitoring, mock audits, quality management system design, anti-money laundering compliance, and general practice protection.
In just 3 years, EQC has consulted on 100+ inspection engagements and served 100+ small and medium-sized practices. Our expertise covers document preparation, engagement file selection, response to review reports, and addressing inquiries from institutes and regulators, backed by evidence of follow-up and remedial actions.
In June 2023, we have launched Audit Program 3.0, an innovative service that utilizes Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Complex Coding to help CPA firms save up to 99.9998% of time costs in completing audit programs that comply with the latest auditing standards, including but not limited to HKSA 220, 315, 540, and HKSQM 1 and 2.
Our Chief Consultants
Roger
Position: Chief Consultant – Audit and Inspections
Roger has been in audit and inspection since 2006, he was previously at KPMG and Deloitte, and accumulated over 10 years of audit managerial experience, before co-founding and managing EQC Compliance Advisory, the preferred consulting partner of Small and Medium Sized CPA Practices (“SMP’s”), successfully helping over 80 SMP’s in preparing for and facilitating to close Practice Reviews initiated by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (the “HKICPA”).
Roger is a certified public accountant registered under the HKICPA, and Roger acted as an external monitoring reviewer for over 100 CPA practices. Over the last 3 years, Roger has led consultancy work in the preparation, responding, remediating and risk mitigation of practice reviews, investigations and disciplinary processes. Roger is also the founder of EQC Training, a bespoke online training service for audit practitioners and auditors, enabling quality audits performed with efficiency.
Suen
Position: Chief Consultant – SFC Regulatory
Suen has been in regulatory compliance since 2009, and was previously at Millennium, Brevan Howard and Hillhouse Capital, before becoming the COO of Income Partners, a boutique Asian credit manager and IDEG, a digital asset manager. Suen is a dual qualified lawyer (HK/NY), and previously lectured law on a part time basis at City University of Hong Kong.
Suen has led thematic and routine SFC inspections, as well as foreign US regulatory inspections, and has first-hand experience in dealing with non-contentious matters with the regulators. Suen has designed, implemented and reviewed market leading internal controls and compliance programs used by top managers around the world.

Tricia
Position: Director
Tricia was in sales and general management at the largest global multinational technology company by revenue since 2014, before co-founding EQC Compliance Advisory. Tricia is responsible for the administrative and general management of EQC Compliance Advisory and EQC Training. Tricia is also a certified financial advisor and MDRT awardee.
Our Partners
EQC Training provides illustrative working papers that focus on AFRC Inspection Findings with Easy-to-use and Practical Solutions for audit teams of SMP’s to apply to significantly improve audit efficiency and effectiveness.
Training courses can be used as ongoing enhancements in audit efficiency and effectiveness as well as part of remedial actions in response to AFRC inspection findings.
